
Maxie named lineman of the week

(Calgary) - In conjunction with the CFL the Calgary Stampeder Football Club is pleased to announce that Defensive Lineman Demetrious Maxie has been named the Rogers CFL Defensive Player of the Week for the 1st time this season.
Maxie showed his veteran leadership putting continual pressure on Argonauts Quarterback Damon Allen. In the game he recorded two quarterback sacks bringing his career total to an impressive 60.
This week the Stampeders will be in Winnipeg to face the Bombers on Thursday, July 7. Also of note, Stampeder Defensive Lineman Sheldon Napastuk was the 1st runner-up for Defensive Lineman of the Week.
