Notes

Rapid City - The Mavericks (24-15-4) take on the Rapid City Rush (24-14-3) for three important games this week starting on Tuesday night at Independence Events Center. Missouri holds a one-point lead over the Rush for third place in the Turner Conference although the Rush has two games in-hand on the Mavericks. Tuesday's game is the first of five games between the teams this season and Missouri is 2-6-1 all-time against the Rush.

All opponents - After Tuesday's game against the Rush, the Mavericks will have played against every team in the Central Hockey League this season.

Home stand ends - The Mavericks' season-long seven-game home stand will come to an end on Tuesday night against Rapid City. During the home stand, the Mavericks are 4-1-1.

700 Club - Mavericks' leading scorer and captain, Sebastien Thinel, is approaching a historic milestone as he is just two points away from becoming just the seventh player to record 700 points in the CHL. Thinel currently has 248 goals and 450 assists in his nine-year career in the CHL. Only 11 players have ever reached 250 goals and he became the eighth player in CHL history to record 450 assists.

Leave of Absence - Mavericks' defenseman Tristin Llewellyn has been granted a personal leave of absence by the Central Hockey League. His return to the Mavericks' lineup is expected but is day-to-day.

Hat tricks - Missouri had two different players record hat tricks in consecutive games this weekend. On Friday, John-Scott Dickson recorded his second hat trick of the season scoring all three goals on the power play. On Saturday, Ed McGrane recorded his first hat trick as a Maverick in the team's 6-2 win over the Arizona Sundogs.

Last 15 - Missouri is one of the hottest teams in the CHL right now going 12-3-1 in their last 15 games. The Mavericks are 9-1-1 at home during that stretch and the Mavericks have outscored their opponent 64-49 in the 15 games.

Saturday sellouts - The Mavericks sold out their 11th game this season at Independence Events Center on Saturday night. In their three-year history, the Mavericks have sold out every Saturday game in January, February and March. In total, the Mavs have 45 sellouts (including playoffs) in franchise history.

Approaching 500,000 - The Mavericks are approaching the 500,000 fan mark. Including playoffs, the Mavericks have welcomed 494,863 fans to Independence Events Center in their three-year history.
