Promotions & Notes

Steady Nolan - Mavericks goaltender Robby Nolan continued his winning ways this weekend with a pair of wins over the Colorado Eagles. Nolan stopped 29 shots in each of the games and gave up just four goals on 62 shots over the two-game set. He currently leads the CHL in goals-against average at 2.05 and he is 8-2-0 in his last 10 decisions (8-3-2 overall).

Road swing - In their last four road games, the Mavericks are 3-0-1 and have outscored their opponent 14-9 combined. Missouri is now 5-3-1 on the road after starting the season 2-3-0. After the home games this week, the Mavericks will play 17 of their next 28 games on the road through the month of February.

Limiting shots- The Mavericks allow the least shots in the CHL, only allowing 27.3 shots per game.

PP struggles - The Mavericks power play drought has stretched to five games. Missouri is 0-for-26 on the power play in their last five games, and the team ranks last in the CHL on the power play converting on just 13.4% of their chances.

PK scoring - Despite the Mavericks power play struggles; the team's penalty kill unit is scoring goals. Missouri scored two shorthanded goals during the same power play on Saturday night in Colorado and they had one shorthanded tally on Friday night. In the two games over the weekend against Colorado, Missouri scored more goals while the Eagles were on the power play than the Eagles did. Colorado finished 2-for-12 on the power play and the Mavericks scored three shorthanded goals.

Carlyle Lewis Bobble Fists - Come to the Mavericks game on Tuesday, December 21 and the first 2,000 fans will receive Carlyle Lewis bobble fists courtesy of Shocking Prices. It is also the first Price Chopper Two-for-Tuesday in which fans can purchase two tickets for the price of one. Tickets are available at the Box Office or at Ticketmaster.com.

Teddy Bear Toss - The annual Teddy Bear Toss is Thursday, December 23 when the Mavericks host the Mallards. Bring a new or gently used teddy bear and throw it on the ice after the Mavericks first goal. The bears will then be distributed to local charities.
