Previewing This Week
Wednesday, October 26 at Quad City - 6:35 p.m. | Home vs. QC (0-0-0), Away vs. QC (0-0-0)
The Mavericks and Mallards will meet for the first of 10 games on Wednesday night, and first of five to be played in Quad City. Last season the Mavericks found a lot of success against the Mallards, both during the season and in the post season. Missouri went 5-0-0 against Quad City in regular season play (1-0-0 on the road) and then swept the Mallards out of the first round of the Kelly Cup playoffs. Overall the Mavericks are 13-4-3 against the Mallards in their ECHL history. Quad City is 2-2-0 to open the season (0-1-0 at home) and features Justin Kovacs (3g, 3a) as its leading scorer and C.J. Motte (2.15 GAA, .918 SVP, 1-1-0) as its leading goalie.
Fri., October 28 & Sun., October 30 at Brampton - 6:15 p.m. & 2:05 p.m. | Home vs. BRM (0-0-0), Away vs. BRM (0-0-0)
If familiarity breeds contempt, then one could say the Mavericks and Beast could be best friends in the hockey world. Missouri and Brampton have not met since April 11, 2015 and they have only squared off seven times since the teams joined the ECHL prior to the 2014-15 season. Missouri holds a slight edge in the all-time series at 4-3-0, which includes a 1-1-0 mark in Brampton. The last time the Mavericks visited the Powerade Centre was the final game of the 2014-15 season and Brampton emerged with a 1-0 win. That was the last time the Mavericks were shut out prior to their 4-0 loss in Allen on October 16. This weekend's games in Brampton mark the only meetings between the Mavericks and Beast this season. Brampton's Luke Pither (3g, 3a) is tied for third in the league in scoring entering this week while rookie goalie Andrew D'Agostini is the Beast's top goalie at 1-0-1 (3.88 GAA, .873 SVP). The Beast are 1-0-2 entering play this week and their 14 goals allowed are second most in the Eastern Conference.

Josh Robinson came 1:48 away from a shutout win, but his 31 saves were enough to give John-Scott Dickson his first win as a head coach in front of a sold out crowd on the Mavericks' home opener. Aaron Berisha's first professional goal proved to be the game winner. [2]Full Recap >>>
