Team Hosts Wichita Before Traveling To Orlando, Florida For 3-Game Road Swing

SATURDAY: GREENVILLE SWAMP RABBITS 4, SOUTH CAROLINA STINGRAYS 3 OT

The Stingrays fell 4-3 in overtime to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on opening night at the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday night in front of a loud crowd of 5586 home fans. Defenseman Daniel New, who was signed earlier in the day by the Stingrays, scored the first goal of the season for South Carolina and added an assist later in the game, while John Parker and Joe Devin each scored short-handed goals in the OT loss.
