Mavericks Assign Ricky Ledo, Dwight Powell to Legends

FRISCO, TX, (Dec. 27, 2014) - The Dallas Mavericks have assigned guard Ricky Ledo and forward Dwight Powell to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the 81st and 82nd of the 2014-15 NBA and NBA D-League seasons.

Ledo (6-7, 195, Providence) appeared in seven games for the Mavericks in the preseason, averaging 6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2 assists per game. He was selected in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and then traded to the Philadelphia 76ers and subsequently the Dallas Mavericks. Ledo has played in 5 games for the Legends this season, averaging 12.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals.

Powell (6-11, 240, Stanford) appeared in five games for the Boston Celtics prior to being traded to Dallas. He played four seasons at Stanford averaging 10.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Powell was selected in the second round (45th overall) of the 2014 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets and subsequently traded to Cleveland where he played three games in the NBA Summer League and averaged 5 points, 3.7 rebounds and .7 assists.

Ledo and Powell are expected to be in uniform tonight as the Legends host the Reno Bighorns at 7pm. The game will be broadcast live on television-KTXD47-as well as radio-KVCE1160am-and online at www.TexLegends.com.
