
Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Forward Anthony Vereen

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors announced today that they acquired forward Anthony Vereen out of the NBA D-League available player pool.
Vereen, 28, was drafted by the Texas Legends in the 4th Round (#60) of the 2014 NBA D-League Draft. Santa Cruz participated in a 5-team trade on Nov. 1, 2014 and acquired Anthony Vereen's rights along with the rights to guard Milos Millsavljevic and guard Arron Mollet from the Texas Legends. Vereen was the final player to be waived by the Warriors on Nov. 13 to complete the final opening night roster.
The 6'6", 244-pound forward has two years of service in the D-League after enjoying a standout career at Texas-Arlington. He will wear jersey number 34 for the Warriors.
