
Iowa Energy Win against Fort Wayne

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy (6-8) won 111-106 over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (8-8) Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Energy were led by Damien Wilkins with a game-high 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Kalin Lucas added 27 points, Diante Garrett had 24 points and Jarrid Famous recorded 22 rebounds. The Mad Ants were led by Ramon Harris with 14 points and 4 rebounds.
It was a close first half as the Energy jumped out to a nine-point lead during the first quarter. The Mad Ants would fight back to take the lead 29-27 at the end of the first quarter. Fort Wayne increased their lead at halftime leading 58-51. Damien Wilkins had 17 first half points for the Energy.
Iowa was able to close the gap during the third quarter, outscoring Fort Wayne 31-25. The Energy were led by Diante Garrett's back-to-back three's to shift the momentum in the game. At the end of the third quarter, Fort Wayne led 83-82.
It was a tight battle down the stretch in the fourth quarter. The Energy were able to take the lead during the fourth thanks to 15 points by Kalin Lucas. Fort Wayne's last minute comeback came up short and the Energy held on to win 111-106 to snap a five-game losing streak.
The Energy are back in action on January 3 in Westchester. Their next home game is January 11 against Idaho at 4 p.m.
