MONTREAL - CF Montréal remained undefeated in a fourth straight game and a seventh at home, Friday night at Stade Saputo, winning 3-1 over Canadian rival Toronto FC. Samuel Piette (23rd minute), Joaquin Torres (68') and Romell Quioto (75') scored in the win, while Toronto FC's goal came from Ifunanyachi Achara in the second half. CF Montréal will return to Stade Saputo, following an international break, on Saturday, September 11 to face Nashville, at 8pm (TVA Sports, TSN, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
Game notes:
-Samuel Piette scored his first goal of the season and his second in his MLS career.
-This two-goal win ends the Club's 16-game streak decided by a margin of one goal or less.
-Djordje Mihailovic tallied two assists, his 7th and 8th of the season.
-The 13 shots by Montreal in the first half was a season-high.
-Defender Rudy Camacho will be suspended for the next game due to a yellow card accumulation.
