
Six LA Galaxy Players Called up for International Duty

LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy today announced that defenders Danilo Acosta (Honduras) and Niko Hämäläinen (Finland) and midfielders Carlos Harvey (Panama), Sebastian Lletget (United States), Jonathan dos Santos (Mexico) and Rayan Raveloson (Madagascar) were called up by their respective national teams for 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches from Aug. 30 - Sept. 8.
Acosta, 23, has played in two games for the Galaxy during the 2021 campaign. The San Pedro Sula, Honduras, native has yet to make his debut for the Honduras Men's National Team. Honduras begins FIFA World Cup Qualifying by traveling to face Canada on Thursday, Sept. 2 (5:05 p.m. PT), squares off against El Salvador on the road on Sunday, Sept. 5 (4:00 p.m. PT) and plays host to the United States on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at (7:05 p.m. PT).
Dos Santos, 31, has notched one goal in 13 games played (10 starts) for LA during the 2021 campaign. In 58 appearances (39 starts) for the Mexico Men's National Team, Dos Santos has notched five goals and four assists. Mexico begins FIFA World Cup Qualifying by playing host to Jamaica on Thursday, Sept. 2 (7:00 p.m. PT), traveling to face Costa Rica on Sunday, Sept. 5 (4:00 p.m. PT) and hosting Panama on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at (5:05 p.m. PT).
Hämäläinen, 24, has made three appearances (3 starts) for the Galaxy since joining the club on loan from Queens Park Rangers on Aug. 6, 2021. Hämäläinen has made seven career appearances (four starts) for Finland. Finland begins World Cup Qualifying when it plays host to Wales on Wednesday, Sept. 1 (9:00 a.m. PT), travels to face France on Tuesday, Sept. 7 (11:45 a.m. PT) and squares off against Kazakhstan on Saturday, Sept. 4 at (6:00 a.m. PT).
Harvey, 21, has made four appearances (1 start) for the Galaxy during the 2021 MLS regular-season campaign. The Panama City, Panama, native has also tallied two goals in eight games (7 starts) played for LA Galaxy II during the 2021 campaign. Panama begins World Cup Qualifying when it hosts Costa Rica on Thursday, Sept. 2 (6:05 p.m. PT), travels to face Jamaica on Sunday, Sept. 5 (3:00 p.m. PT) and plays host to Mexico on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at (5:05 p.m. PT).
Lletget, 28, has notched one goal and three assists in 13 appearances (12 starts) for the Galaxy during the 2021 campaign. The San Francisco, Calif., native has tallied seven goals and three assists in 29 appearances (17 starts) for the U.S. Men's National Team. Notably, Lletget has played in 12 of the U.S. Men's National Team's 13 matches across all competitions in 2021, and was one of four players on the USMNT this year to win both the Concacaf Nations League and the Gold Cup.
The USMNT first travels to face El Salvador on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7:00 p.m. PT (CBS Sports Network, Paramount+). Next up, USA-Canada, presented by Volkswagen, will kick off at 5:00 p.m. PT on FS1, UniMás and TUDN from Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The U.S. closes its first set of qualifiers on Sept. 8 at 7:00 p.m. PT against Honduras in San Pedro Sula (Paramount+).
In 11 appearances (11 starts) for LA this year, Raveloson, 24, ranks second on the team with five goals scored. Raveloson has scored one goal in 10 games played (6 starts) for the Madagascar Men's National Team. Madagascar begins World Cup Qualifying when it plays hosts to Benin on Thursday, Sept. 2 (9:00 a.m. PT) and travels to face Tanzania on Tuesday, Sept. 7 (6:00 a.m. PT).
