Masse Assigned by Montreal; Nailers Trade Tuzzolino

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced Tuesday, that defenseman Nick Tuzzolino has been traded to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for cash. Today's trade opens a roster spot for forward Dany Masse, who has been assigned from Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) by the Montreal Canadiens.

Tuzzolino appeared in three games for the Nailers this season, logging an assist and eight penalty minutes. Last season, he registered 31 points (9 goals, 22 assists) in 70 games played with the Alaska Aces.

Masse joins Wheeling after posting five points in 25 games with Hamilton last season. He has appeared in one game this season with the Bulldogs.

Prior to Hamilton, Masse registered 110 points (44 goals, 66 assists) in 68 regular season games with the Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL) during the 2008-09 season. Masse added 36 points in the 19 playoff games that season, helping Drummondville to clinch its first league championship.

The Nailers next home game is Thursday morning, October 28. Game time is set for 11:05 a.m. at WesBanco Arena. The Nailers are offering a "Businessman's Special," Fans may purchase $10 tickets for any seat in the house for Thursday morning's contest.
