Future Considerations Acquired from Alaska for Howes

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks, announced the team has acquired future considerations from the Alaska Aces in exchange for left winger Scott Howes (HOWZ).

Howes, 23, had one assist in one game with the Thunder this season and scored 22 goals and 48 points (22g-26a) while adding a +1 rating in 86 career games over the previous two ECHL seasons with the Victoria Salmon Kings. He has also skated in five games in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose, collecting two penalty minutes. He was originally signed by the Thunder as a free agent on August 18, 2010.

The transaction currently has the Thunder roster totaling 21 players (19 skaters, 2 goaltenders).

The Thunder return to play on Friday, October 29, visiting the Bakersfield Condors at Rabobank Arena at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on radio at 1280 AM KWSX and viewed live on the internet (pay-per-view charge) at http://www.stocktonthunder.com/, courtesy of AmericaOne.
