BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays will be hosting a mascot extravaganza on Friday, August 19 as more than one dozen area mascots will partake in a mania like the Mascot Olympics at 7:05 p.m. as the Rays take on Burlington.

The team's final Friday Fireworks show will go on after the game, but between innings, various mascots such as Buster Bronco, Slappy from the K-Wings, Griff from the Grand Rapids Griffins, Blitz from the Grand Rapids Rampage, Post's Honey Bear, some of the Flintstones, Kellogg's Tony the Tiger, Big L from the Lexington Legends, LuLu and Louie from the Kalamazoo Kings and of course, the Devil Rays own Doodle will all participate in the games.

Events such as Tug of War, Chicken relay, Leap Frog, Mascot Race and the Dizzy Bat Race will all be done by some of the mascots and will headline the olympiad.

Each of the furry friends will be wandering through C.O. Brown Stadium before and during the game. There will be an autograph session for some of the mascots, but fans are encouraged to bring their own pen to ensure a signature.

The gates for this event open at 6:05 p.m. with the game beginning an hour later. Tickets are available by calling 269-660-2287 or by visiting the team's website at southwestmichigandevilrays.com.
