Martinez Returns To Manchester

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Alec Martinez to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Martinez, 22, has played in four games with the Kings this season, his first in the NHL, and has zero points and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound native of Rochester Hills, Michigan, has also played in 19 games with the Monarchs this season, recording eight points (3-5=8) and six penalty minutes.

On Friday, January 22, the Monarchs will travel to Hartford to face-off in a rematch against the Hartford Wolf Pack at the XL Center in a 7:00 p.m. tilt.
