Zooperstars Kick Off Weekend Homestand

PEORIA, Ill. (January 20, 2009) - The world famous ZOOperstars! will be performing at the Peoria Rivermen game on Friday night at Carver Arena. Known for their hilarious skits and dances, the ZOOperstars! are inflatable animal creations modeled after famous sports figures, such as Mario Lemule, Dominic Hashark, and Dennis Frogman.
Friday's game begins at 7 p.m. and will feature a rematch of last Saturday's thrilling 4-3 shootout win for Peoria over the Rockford IceHogs. For more information on the ZOOperstars! visit www.zooperstars.com and to see video of them in action click HERE.
On Saturday, the Rivermen will play host to the Chicago Wolves and game time has been changed to 7:30 p.m. in order to accommodate the Bradley University basketball game earlier in the day. Please note that the Rivermen game on Feb. 13 against San Antonio will also be played at 7:30 p.m. In another scheduling note, the Rivermen Legends vs. the Peoria Firefighters Local #50 MDA Classic has been rescheduled for March 6.
Due to Kellan Lutz canceling his appearance on Saturday night, all fans with a ticket to the Jan. 23 game are able to exchange their new or used ticket for a ticket to any other regular season game the rest of the 2009-10 season. This can be done at the Peoria Civic Center box office or the Rivermen office, located inside the Peoria Civic Center.
