Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have launched the 2010 B-Sens High School Challenge.

Six area high schools will be competing to see which school has the most passionate Binghamton Senators fans. The schools participating in the challenge are Binghamton, Vestal, Johnson City, Chenango Forks, Chenango Valley and Union-Endicott high schools.

Each student and faculty member of the participating schools are encouraged to sell as many discounted tickets as possible to the B-Sens' game on Wednesday, Jan. 27 versus the Adirondack Phantoms.

The top three schools that sell the most tickets to the Jan. 27 game will advance to the second round finals, in which the schools will then sell discounted tickets to the B-Sens' game on Feb. 17 also versus Adirondack. The school that sells the most tickets to the Feb. 17 game will win the grand prize.

The grand prize includes a free ticket to the March 24 B-Sens' game versus the Toronto Marlies for each student and faculty member that sold tickets, a coupon for discounted food, and an on-ice trophy presentation.

The top individual seller for each round will have the opportunity to drop the ceremonial first puck at each B-Sens game in the 2010 B-Sens High School Challenge.

Tickets to the Jan. 27 game are on sale now for $10, $9 if purchased by Friday, Jan. 22. Fans can purchase tickets by contacting Nate Newborn or Megan Morris at the B-Sens' executive offices at 607-722-7367 and identifying which high school they wish to support in the challenge. Tickets are also available through students and faculty of participating schools.
