
Martinelli Extends Streak in Cutters Loss

David Martinelli extended his current hit-streak to 11 games on a RBI single in the top of the 3rd, but his efforts were not enough as the Cutters fell to the Vermont Lake Monster 6-3 on the road.
Martinelli finished the night 2-for4 for an RBI. Jesus Alastre was also able to extend his current hit-streak to 10 games, picking up an RBI infield single in the 6th inning.
Julian Garcia struggled with command, walking four batters over three and a third innings. Garcia surrendered five runs, all earned, while allowing five hits in the losing effort.
Scott Harris was strong, tossing 2.2 perfect innings of relief, retiring all seven batters that he faced, including a huge inning-ending double play in the bottom of the 6th inning.
The Cutters fall to 4-11 in 15 games on the road this season and fall to 4-10 in games outside of the Pinckney division.
