Marrero Notes:

Outfielder Chris Marrero, who was drafted in the first round of the 2006 draft by the Washington Nationals, has been promoted to Charlotte today from Double-A Birmingham. Marrero, a native of Miami, FL, appeared in nine games for the Barons this season and was hitting .324 (12-for-37) with three doubles and four RBIs. The Chicago White Sox signed Marrero on June 5, 2015 to a minor league contract.

Tonight's Game:

The Knights return home tonight to BB&T Ballpark to open a three-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox (Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) tonight. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. tonight and the Knights will welcome former Boston Red Sox great "Spaceman" Bill Lee to the ballpark to meet and greet fans. First pitch of tonight's game is set for 7:05 p.m. and RHP Erik Johnson (4-5, 3.66) will get the start for the Knights.

MLB Rehab:

Boston Red Sox RHP Justin Masterson will get the nod tonight for the Pawtucket Red Sox on a Major League Rehab assignment. Masterson was an American League All-Star in 2013 with the Cleveland Indians. The Jamaican-born hurler went 14-10 with a 3.45 ERA in 32 games for the Indians that season. Masterson is 0-1 with a 3.52 ERA in two rehab starts for the PawSox this season and owns 62 wins at the Major League level.

1 Millionth Fan:

The Knights have welcomed 990,275 fans through the gates of BB&T Ballpark over the course of 103 regular season Knights games. The team is now just 9,725 fans away from welcoming the one millionth fan, which could come as early as tonight or when gates open at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
