Marlies Sign Goaltender Drew Macintyre to PTO

The Toronto Marlies announced Wednesday, the team has signed goaltender Drew MacIntyre to a Professional Try Out (PTO).

MacIntyre, 29, has played in 284 career American Hockey League games with Grand Rapids, Manitoba, Milwaukee, Chicago, Hamilton and Rochester. The 6-1, 184-pound native of Charlottetown, PEI appeared in 10 games this season with the Reading Royals of the ECHL, posting a 1.93 goals against average and a 0.931 save percentage. MacIntyre, who will join the Marlies tonight for their community practice at Malton Arena, is a former fourth round draft pick (121 overall) of the Detroit Red Wings.

Toronto returns to the ice on Saturday afternoon when they host the Hershey Bears, AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
