
Marlies Fall in Overtime to Comets

The Toronto Marlies and Utica Comets met for the second game of their home and home Saturday afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum. The Marlies would jump out to a two goal lead on goals from Troy Bodie and Brendan Mikkelson in the first period. Utica would score two of their own in the second period to tie the game. The third was scoreless, forcing the game to overtime. In the extra frame the Comets were able to capitalize on a goal from Andrey Pedan. The game saw a total of 79 shots on net between the two teams; Antoine Bibeau stopped 39 of 42 earning him the game's second star.
The Marlies are back in action Wednesday for their first 11:00 a.m. school day game this season against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Tickets can be purchased at marlies.ca/tickets or by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825).
