DES MOINES, IOWA - Hamilton Bulldogs forward Eric Tangradi had a goal and two assists in his first game back from injury to lead the 'Dogs (22-17-6-0) to a 5-3 win over the Iowa Wild (15-29-1-1) at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday afternoon.

The win was the Bulldogs' sixth in a row, which is their longest winning streak this season. The last time Hamilton won six straight came between Dec. 26, 2013 and Jan. 10, 2014.

Iowa forward Zack Mitchell got credit for the game's first goal at 13:45 of the opening frame when he tipped a point shot by defenceman Justin Falk past Hamilton goaltender Joey MacDonald. Forward Tyler Graovac had a second assist.

At 18:13 of the first period, Bulldogs forward Drayson Bowman tied the game 1-1 with a one-timer that beat Wild goaltender John Curry. Bowman's eighth goal of the season was assisted by forward T.J. Hensick and defenceman Darren Dietz.

Just over four minutes into the second period, Iowa forward Michael Keranen redirected a shot by forward Jordan Schroeder to give his team a 2-1 lead.

At the midway point of the middle stanza, 'Dogs forward Sahir Gill stripped Curry of the puck from behind the net and tucked home his first goal as a Bulldog and his second of the season, unassisted, to tie the game, 2-2.

Thirty-nine seconds into the third period, Graovac scored on a shorthanded breakaway, assisted by Schroeder, to give Iowa a 3-2 lead.

With less than nine minutes to go in the third period, Tangradi found forward Jacob de la Rose with a pass in front of the net and de la Rose lifted a wrist shot over Curry for his sixth goal of the season to tie the game, 3-3. Defenceman Jarred Tinordi had a second assist on the play.

Less than two minutes later, Dietz hammered a pass from de la Rose past Curry to give Hamilton a 4-3 lead. Tangradi was credited with a second assist on Dietz's fourth goal of the season.

Tangradi added an empty-net goal for his third marker of the season, assisted by Bowman and defenceman Davis Drewiske, with 52 seconds to go to seal the victory for the Bulldogs, 5-3.

MacDonald made 28 saves on 31 shots for the Bulldogs in the win, while Curry stopped 33 of 37 shots faced for the Wild in the loss.

Hamilton went 0-for-3 on the power play, while Iowa was 0-for-2 with a man advantage.
