Mark Nemec Assigned to Colorado (ECHL)

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that defenseman Mark Nemec has been loaned to the Colorado Eagles of the East Coast Hockey League.

Nemec, 25, signed an American Hockey League contract with the Sound Tigers on Aug. 22 after playing in 63 games with the Eagles last season. Nemec led Colorado as a +37 in 2013-14 and was second in the entire league for plus/minus. The Rouses Point, N.Y., native also played six games with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL in 2012-13. He still has yet to make his AHL debut.

Prior to playing in the ECHL, Nemec played four years for the University of Maine from 2009-2013. Nemec suited up in 137 games for the Black Bears, nabbing 17 points from the blue line.
