Albany Devils News Release
ALBANY, NY - The Albany Devils will host their first ever "Bullying Prevention Game" on Saturday, Oct. 25 when they welcome the Hartford Wolf Pack to Times Union Center at 5 pm. The Devils will join forces with the "Be An Ally" partnership between CBS 6, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Neil and Jane Golub and Price Chopper as well as PRO Martial Arts of Colonie.
A commemorative "Devils Against Bullying" pin will be available for a minimum $2 donation throughout the game with proceeds benefitting the Anti-Defamation League's A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE(r) Institute. PRO Martial Arts of Colonie will host a pregame Anti-Bullying interactive presentation intended for Elementary-age students.
The "Be An Ally" project was created in 2011 by CBS 6 in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League, Neil and Jane Golub and Price Chopper. Together their goal is to inform students, families, educators and the public on what can be done about bullying and cyberbullying. Utilizing the broadcasting power and credibility of CBS 6, the commitment and impetus of Neil and Jane Golub and Price Chopper and the rich informational resources of the ADL, the "Be an Ally" project is a call to action for everyone.
The Anti-Defamation League was founded in 1913 "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all." Now the nation's premier civil rights/human relations agency, ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.
