Lee Recalled by Islanders

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The New York Islanders announced today that forward Anders Lee has been recalled from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Lee, 24, played five games for the Sound Tigers this season, registering three goals and two assists. He most recently notched the overtime winner in a 4-3 win over Springfield on Oct. 19.

The Islanders selected Lee in the sixth round, 152nd overall, in the 2009 National Hockey League draft. He played 22 games in New York last season, tallying nine goals and dishing out five assists. He scored his first NHL goal on April 2, 2013 against Winnipeg.

Prior to playing in the Islanders organization, Lee spent three seasons with the University of Notre Dame, where he led the team in scoring all three years.

The Sound Tigers play three games on the road before coming back to Webster Bank Arena on Nov. 2 to take on the Springfield Falcons. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
