
Maple Leafs Announce Preseason Schedule

The St. John's Maple Leafs announced today its 2003 preseason schedule. The club will face the Hamilton Bulldogs in three preseason games across Newfoundland and Labrador. It marks the second time in three seasons that the team has played an exhibition schedule throughout the province. The Bulldogs are the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and have switched their jersey to the red, white and blue of their parent club.
The first game will be played at the Canada Games Centre in Corner Brook on Thursday, October 2. The two teams will face each other on Friday, October 3 at the Gander Community Centre in Gander and the final game will take place on Sunday, October 5 at Mile One Stadium in St. John's. The game in St. John's marks the first time since 1992 that the club has played a preseason game at home.
Tickets for the Corner Brook and Gander games will be $15, while tickets for the St. John's game will be $10. Individuals who purchase tickets early in the Corner Brook and Gander markets will be eligible for an early bird draw of Maple Leafs merchandise. The grand prize in each area is a trip for two to St. John's that includes hotel accommodations and tickets to a Maple Leafs weekend series.
