
Griffins Sign David Brisson

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Tuesday announced the signing of forward David Brisson (brih-SAHN).
Brisson, 25, ranks as the University of Nebraska-Omaha's all-time leader with 144 points, 65 goals and 79 assists. Last season, he paced the Mavericks in goals (17) and points (33), marking the third time in his four seasons that he led the team in both categories.
As a sophomore in 2000-01, Brisson set a team record with 47 points (22-25-47) and led UNO in all three scoring categories. He also ranked among Central Collegiate Hockey Association's leaders in goals (T7th), assists (T10th) and points (T7th), earning a spot on the All-CCHA First Team.
In 1999-00, he led the Mavericks with 17 goals and 32 points and was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team.
