Purple Painted People Unveiled at Grape Street Pub

In an effort to paint the town purple, the Philadelphia Phantoms hockey team unveils new Purple People Greeters, a team of purple-painted individuals who will visit various locations throughout the Philadelphia-region to promote the team's home opener on Friday, Oct. 10, as well as all regular-season games at the Wachovia Spectrum.

While cameras are rolling, individuals will paint their bodies from head-to-toe in purple. Media is encouraged to join the Purple People Greeters for a Purple Lunch, including grapes, plums, eggplant, jam sandwiches on purple bread and grape juice.

Phantoms Hockey is fun, affordable, family entertainment with 40 regular season hockey games at the Wachovia Spectrum. The Phantoms open the 2003-04 regular season on Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:05 p.m., when they host the Binghamton Senators at the Wachovia Spectrum. Tickets to all Phantoms home games are $19, $18 and $14 for adults, and $8 for all children 14 and under, and are available now at the Wachovia Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations throughout the Delaware Valley.
