Manzano To Flames; Branham to Chiefs

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that defenseman Ian Manzano has been loaned to the Saint John Flames (AHL). The Flames then re-assigned defenseman Tim Branham to the Chiefs today.

Manzano, 25, has played in 20 games for the Chiefs this season scoring a goal and 7 assists (8 PTS). He spent most of the first half of the season with Saint John where he had a goal and 5 points.

Manzano will be available for the Flames road game tonight when they take on the St. John's Maple Leafs.

Branham, 21, has played in 30 of Saint John's 37 games this season, scoring a goal and nine points. The 6'2, 195 LBS native of Eagle River, WI played for the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League last season scoring 4 goals and 21 points. He also played junior hockey with the Barrie Colts (OHL), and the Rochester Mustangs (USHL). Branham was a third round draft pick (93rd overall) of the Vancouver Canucks in 2000.

Branham will be available for the Chiefs game tomorrow night at home, against the Toledo Storm at 7:30 p.m.
