Greensboro Generals News Release

Greensboro, NC — The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) are pleased to announce defenseman Geno Parrish will represent the Generals and the Northern Conference all-star team in the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game. The game will be played next Tuesday, January 21 at 7:30 at TECO Arena in Estero, FL. Parrish is a replacement for his defensive partner Kurt Drummond, who is injured and will be unable to participate.

Parrish, 28, leads all Generals defensemen with three goals, 21 assists, 24 points, and a plus/minus rating of +10. His point total is tied for 14th amongst ECHL defensemen. The 5'11", 185-pound native of Bloomington, Minnesota will be playing in his first all-star game in his third professional season, and first in the ECHL. Parrish has accumulated 15 goals and 74 assists for 89 points in 148 career games.

"I'm thrilled that Geno is going to get the chance to display his talents at the All-Star game," stated Generals head coach Rick Adduono (ah-DOO-no). "He encompasses what this team is all about. He's smart, he's gritty, and he has a true passion for the game. He'll represent the Generals and the northern conference with class and dignity."

The Generals host the Roanoke Express tomorrow night at 7:00. The game marks the first time all season the Generals' division rival comes to town, and is also the only home game the Generals will have over the next two weeks. Ticket prices range from $10.00 - $17.00, with tickets as low as $8.00 for students and seniors. Generals Flex Plans for six, twelve, and 18 games are also available for as little as $50.00.
