CONNOR MAKES MOOSE DEBUT: Kyle Connor wasted no time in making his mark on the scoresheet after being re-assigned to the Moose by the Winnipeg Jets on Friday. Connor tallied an assist in Friday's game and scored his first AHL goal on Saturday. He also scored in the shootout (pictured right). Connor had four points (1G, 3A) in 19 NHL games before joining the Moose.

DESALVO SIGNS: After Dan DeSalvo posted 13 points (7G, 6A) in 11 games with the Moose, the team announced Dec. 7 it had signed the skilled centre to an AHL contract. DeSalvo has points in seven of his 13 games this season and has been productive on the road, posting nine of his 13 points away from the MTS Centre.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE: Jack Roslovic has an opportunity to represent his country at the 2017 World Junior Championship in Toronto/Montreal this holiday season. The 19-year old was named to USA Hockey's 27-man preliminary roster and will attend training camp with the team Dec. 16-20. The Columbus, OH product is the only invite currently playing professional hockey. Roslovic previously suited up for Team USA at the 2013 U17 Hockey Challenge and 2015 IIHF World U18 Hockey Championship.

IN THE COMMUNITY: The Moose were busy in the community this past week. Tuesday night, Anthony Peluso and Nelson Nogier visited with firefighters as part of the team's lead-up to Firefighter Appreciation Day on Jan. 15. Wednesday saw the whole team helping in the kitchen at Siloam Mission and serving patrons during dinner-time. Finally, Saturday was the Teddy Bear Toss game presented by Red River Co-op. Fans launched a Moose record 2,905 toys down to the ice of the MTS Centre.

Cleveland tacked on one more to come away with the 5-1 win. Saturday, Dec. 10: Cleveland 2 at Manitoba 1 SO It took until the second period to light the lamp with Kyle Connor doing the honours. Chase De Leo set the rookie up for his first AHL goal off the rush. The Moose thought they had added to the lead later in the period when Quinton Howden buried on a two-on-one, but the goal was called back as a penalty was assessed to Manitoba on the play. Cleveland tied the game in the third off the stick of Markus Hannikainen. Overtime solved nothing and the Monsters tallied twice in the shootout to Manitoba's one, giving Cleveland the extra point.
