Manitoba Moose News Release
Goals:
- John Albert sends a back-hand pass into the slot to Brenden Kichton who wrists it past Kevin Poulin at 38 seconds of the second period.
- Jimmy Lodge from behind the net passes out front to Darren Kramer who takes a quick wrist shot past Poulin at 1:40 of the second period.
- Following a scramble out front the puck comes to Brenden Kichton who wrists past a sprawling Poulin at 8:19 of the second period.
Highlights/Notes:
- Brenden Kichton had his first multi-goal game of the season and the third in his AHL career. He is now one goal away from matching his previous season high of 10 goals which he achieved in the 2013-14 season. He is tied for 16th in the AHL in scoring among defenceman with 33 points (9G, 24A).
- Darren Kramer matched a career high by scoring his fifth goal of the season. He has scored two goals in his last three games.
- Jimmy Lodge registered his third assist in his last three games.
- John Albert recorded his fourth multi-point game of the season with two assists. Three of those multi-point games have come in his last 12 games.
- Patrice Cormier recorded his fifth multi-point game for the season with a pair of assists. In his last 19 games he has scored seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points.
- Ben Walker recorded his first point of the season for the Moose with an assist while playing in his fifth game. Walker has spent the majority of the season with the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL.
- Connor Hellebuyck earned his fourth shutout of the season with the Moose making 23 saves. It was his second consecutive shutout and third in his last six games. He has not allowed a goal in 121:14 of game time.
The Moose play the rematch and final meeting of the season against the Stockton Heat on Wednesday, Mar. 23 at the MTS Centre at 7 p.m.
