Syracuse Crunch and Syracuse University Combine for Greatest Doubleheader of the Year March 25

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch will kick off the greatest doubleheader of the year on Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m. when the team hosts the Albany Devils before the Syracuse Orange meet the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the Sweet 16 of the 2016 NCAA Tournament at 9:40 p.m.

The Crunch will battle towards a playoff push at 7 p.m., while the Orange continue their pursuit of a national championship in the third round of the NCAA Tournament at 9:40 p.m. Any fan that wears orange to the Crunch game on Friday will receive a $5 discount at the box office. The team will also wear their orange third jerseys in support of Syracuse University.

"The Crunch wish our friends at Syracuse University, the basketball program and Jim Boeheim the best of luck this weekend," Crunch owner Howard Dolgon said. "Syracuse is pound-for-pound the best sports town and it's great to see the basketball team continue to have impressive post-season success."

March 25 is also Vance Lederman Night. In honor of the V-man, the first 1,200 fans at the War Memorial Arena will receive a Lederman mask. The team will also recognize Lederman during a pregame ceremony.
