Coyotes Assign Philip Samuelsson to Springfield

Springfield, MA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Philip Samuelsson to the Springfield Falcons.

The 24-year-old Samuelsson played in 16 minutes on Sunday night versus the San Jose Sharks during his emergency call-up with the Coyotes and has now played in four games with the team this season. He has recorded 4-26-30 in 53 games with Springfield during the 2015-16 campaign.

Samuelsson was drafted out of Boston College by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round (61st overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.

The Falcons return to the MassMutual Center on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
