(POMONA, NY) - For the third time this season, Rockland Boulders Joe Maloney has been named the Can-Am League's Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 12, 2015. After winning the award in the first two weeks of the season, Maloney was also named the Rawlings Player of the Month for the month of June.

The slugger continued his impressive campaign this week by going 10-for-21 (.476) in seven games, helping the Boulders to a 4-3 record. During the week, Maloney collected two doubles, a pair of home runs, and 11 runs batted in.

The catcher/outfielder finished the week strong by going 5-for-9 in a three-game series sweep over Trois-Rivieres. His best performance came on Saturday when he tied a franchise record with six RBI, including a grand slam in the eighth inning. On Sunday, Maloney went 1-for-1 but scored four times as he collected four walks, tying another Rockland record.

The Boulders (29-17) sit 1.5 games ahead of New Jersey atop the Can-Am League standings. Rockland returns home on Tuesday for a one-game set against Sussex County, before a four-game series against New Jersey that includes a trip to Doubleday Field for the first-ever Cooperstown Can-Am Classic on Friday, July 17.
