Mallards Waive Trio
October 11, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release
The Quad City Mallards of the "AA" Central Hockey League today announced they have waived left wing Nick DeCroo, goaltender Pat Inglis and defenseman Omar Pacha.
DeCroo, 24, departs to seek evaluation of a long term wrist problem he first encountered while playing at Hobart College that hampered him during the Mallards' training camp.
DeCroo played four games with the Mallards last spring after completing his senior season at Hobart. The 6' 3", 220-pound Sarver, Pennsylvania, native scored four goals and added two assists in ten games as a senior at Division III Hobart. Over three seasons at Hobart after transferring from Bentley College, DeCroo scored 39 times and totaled 61 points in 67 games.
Inglis, 25, completed his senior season at Lake Superior State in the spring. Last year the Calgary native went 2-3-0 in eight games with a 3.43 goals against average and a .897 save percentage. The 6' 4", 200-pound Inglis went 15-26-6 in 58 career games as a Laker while turning in a 3.23 goals against average and a .898 save percentage.
Pacha, 23, spent the last three years at Division III Castleton State. In 2009-10 the Boucherville, Quebec, native scored five goals and totaled 15 points in 25 games. The 5' 11", 200-pound Pasha completed his Spartan career having scored 16 times and produced 49 points in 67 games.
The Mallards will raise the curtain on their first CHL regular season on home ice Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against the Odessa Jackalopes.
