This year the Bees will compete in the newly christened Berry Conference with many of their traditional foes.

During the preseason the Bees went 1-1 in their two games against the Laredo Bucks. In the first game at State Farm Arena the Bees fell to an early 2-0 deficit before rallying to pick up the 4-3 overtime win. The winning goal was scored by Tyler Burton, Burton also assisted on the game tying goal scored by Rob Cowan.

The next night the Bees traveled to Laredo and once again fell in an early 2-0 hole but were unable to climb out falling to the Bucks 4-1. Tyler Lehrke scored the Bees lone goal with assists to Sean Munch and Brandon Smith.

All three netminders on the Bees training camp roster saw time in the two exhibition games with each goalie playing two periods.
