The Hockey Happy Hour is back! Tulsa Oilers head coach Bruce Ramsay will start his weekly talk show about the Oilers and the Central Hockey League on Monday October 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Twisted Tilt sports restaurant on the Jenks Riverwalk.
"We had a great time there when we announced our affiliation with Colorado (Avalanche of the National Hockey League) and Lake Erie (Mosters of the American Hockey League) so I'm looking forward to hearing from the fans and answering their questions," Ramsay said. He expects most of the 24 players who remain in training camp to be on hand to meet fans for the initial Hockey Happy Hour.
Chad MacLeod, head coach of the Tulsa Rampage Jr. A will also be on the first show. Ramsay also announced he has trimmed the Oilers training camp roster to 24 players. The CHL allows teams to carry 19 players through the season, and teams can suit up 18 players for games. The players in Oilers camp: Goal-Trevor Cann, Sylvain Michaud, Tyler Sims Defense-Sean Erickson, Stacey Baumann, R.J. Linder, Derek Eastman, Brandon Roshko, Brennan Barker, Derek Fisher, Tyler Fleck Forward-Dan Riedel, Matt Bourdeau, Chad Costello, Matt Robertson, Gary Steffes, Jeff Gumaer, Jack Combs, Chris Cloud, Jason Weeks, Marty Standish, Gord Bell, Matt Larke, Mike Beausoleil.
Fans who are unable to attend the Hockey Happy Hour at the Twisted Tilt can log on and listen at www.tulsaoilers.com. The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL last season under Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 33 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season, starting on Friday October 15th against the Wichita. Season tickets for 2010-11 with plans for as low as $26 a month are now available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
