LAREDO, Texas (December 2, 2011) - Eric Giosa scored twice, David McKee made 24 saves and the Quad City Mallards scored their first three goals on the power play on the way to a 4-1 victory over the host Laredo Bucks Friday night.

After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, the Mallards jumped in front just 18 seconds into the second period when Giosa charged into the goalmouth to snap the deadlock.

The Mallard lead doubled when Brandon Marino pounced on a loose puck in the crease at 1:11 of the third period. Jake Riddle- who also had an assist- tipped the puck home from the doorstep to stretch the gap to 3-0 just past the midway point of the third. After McKee turned aside the first 22 Laredo shots he faced, the Bucks finally got on the scoreboard when Mark Nebus buried a rebound at the 11:47 mark.
