Tulsa's Mike Ullrich Named 50/50 Central/CHL Rookie of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (December 2, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa forward Mike Ullrich has been named the recipient of the 50/50 Central/CHL Rookie of the Month (November/2011). The first-year forward will receive a special gift courtesy of 50/50 Central and the Central Hockey League.

During the month of November, Ullrich scored 12 goals and had six assists along with a +6 plus/minus rating. The Banff, Alberta native had five multiple point efforts during the month with his best outing featuring a four point game (3g, 1a) on Nov. 22, a 7-6 shootout loss to the Arizona Sundogs.

Overall, Ullrich is averaging over a point-a-game through the first seventeen games of the season with 20 points (12g, 8a). His goal total is tied for not only the league lead among rookies but among all players (RGV's Aaron Lee also has 12 goals) and his point total places him among the league's top 10 in overall scoring.

Ullrich joined the Oilers after two seasons at South Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and has helped Tulsa become one of the leaders in the Berry Conference (9-6-2 with 20 points).
