MOLINE, Ill. (November 15, 2015) - Raphael Bussieres broke a 1-1 tie with just under six minutes left in the third period and host the Quad City Mallards (5-5-3) went on to defeat the Fort Wayne Komets (6-4-0) 2-1 Sunday.
Bussieres buried a feed from Kevin Baker from close range at 14:08 of third for the game winner.
The Mallards battled from behind to win after Kyle Thomas gave the Komets a 1-0 lead from the left wing circle at 18:35 of the first period. The Mallards were shorthanded when Tanner Eberle tied the score at one on a 2-on-1 rush at 14:28 of the second period.
The Mallards return to action on home ice Friday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Alaska Aces. Friday evening is $1 Beer/$1 Dog Night presented by 97X. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $1 beers at all Mallards' Friday night home games. Friday is also another MetroLINK College Night. The Mallards have once again partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline during Friday home games. As part of Metro's unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare.
Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including Friday night's contest- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. Â The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
