MOLINE, Ill. (December 18, 2010) - Tyler Shelast scored twice and Mike McLean provided a goal and two assists as the host Quad City Mallards extended their winning streak to three games by defeating the Evansville IceMen 5-1 Saturday night.

The Mallards took control for good by scoring a pair of second period power play goals in a span of just over two minutes. McLean's blast from the top of the right wing circle reestablished Quad City's two goal cushion at 13:45. Shelast stretched the gap to 4-1 at 16:01 by tipping in another McLean shot.

At 5:08 of the third period Jake Riddle capped off the win by scoring the fifth Mallard goal from point blank range.

The Mallards had gotten the early jump on the IceMen by striking twice in the first period. Eric Giosa's wrist shot from the high slot opened the scoring at 3:48 of the first. The Quad City lead doubled when Shelast buried McLean's centering pass at 18:25.
