LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League return home to face the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees Saturday night at Laredo Energy Arena. Game time is 7:30pm. The Bucks winless streak stretched to three games (0-2-1) Friday night thanks to a 7-4 loss in Odessa. Despite Laredo ¬â¢s recent struggles they are just three points back of third-place Texas in the Berry Conference.
The Bucks and Bees will play in the 100th all-time meeting Saturday night with Laredo looking to set a franchise record. The next Bucks win over the Bees will set a franchise record for most wins all-time against an opponent. Laredo has beaten both Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi a total of 67 times each.
Laredo and Rio will meet three straight times starting Saturday night.
Neil Trimm picked up his 10th multi-point game of the season Friday night to remain in the top five in the CHL in scoring with 35 points (9-26=35).
Rio Grande Valley enters Saturday ¬â¢s game having won three straight road games to move into a five-way tie for third-place in the Berry Conference. The Bees swept a two-game series in Bossier-Shreveport on Thursday and Friday.
