Chad Woollard continued his scoring tear with four points as the Quad City Mallards defeated the Missouri River Otters 7-3 Sunday afternoon at the MARK.

The lone goal in the opening period came when Matt Radoslovich picked up a loose puck and beat Brenden Cuthbert with a high shot. The River Otters tied the game in the second period when Blake Stewart slammed home the rebound of a Brian Heckendorn slapper. Quad City came roaring back with three consecutive goals, two from Chad Woollard and one from Dan Pszenyczny, to take a 4-1 lead. Stewart scored on a wicked wrister before the period ended to make it a 4-2 game heading into the final stanza. The Mallards extended their lead to 7-2 with third-period goals from Glenn Detulleo, Tom Clayton, and Jeff Petruic. Frank Littlejohn added a late goal for the River Otters but it was too little too late as the Mallards emerged victorious. Terry Friesen made 36 saves for the win while Cuthbert made 34 saves in defeat.

The River Otters host the Flint Generals Wednesday night at the Family Arena. The puck drops at 7:00 CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 FM and the B2 Networks, located at www.riverotters.com.
