BATTLE CREEK, MI- The Bombers dropped the 2012 home opener to the Lakeshore Chinooks 6-5 in a back and forth game.

The Chinooks dropped 3 on Bomber starting pitcher Caleb Vincent (Kellogg CC). It was up to the bullpen the rest of the way, as Dylan Rheault (Central Michigan), Scott Simmons (Tusculum College), Brian Heldman (Arkansas), and Alex Tukey (Minnesota) all threw in relief.

After a rain delay in the middle of the 5th inning, Dylan Delaney delivered with a 2-run triple to tie the game. They took the lead 4-3 as Delaney cross home plate on an error on Chinook second baseman German Reyes.

Lakeshore came back to score 2 runs of their own in the 7th inning to regain the lead. A good relief effort from Cody Glenn kept the Bomber offense at bay for 3 1/3 innings during that stretch.
