'Frogs Drop Series Finale to Lakeshore

The Bullfrogs dropped the finale of their two-game set against the Lakeshore Chinooks 4-3 on Thursday night. Lakeshore struck first in the game, pushing two runs across in the top of the first inning. After a leadoff single, Charlie Markson advanced to second on a stolen base and third on a groudout. He then scored the game's first run on an Eric Aguilera RBI groundout. Aguilera then stole second and scored on a German Reyes single. The Chinooks stole four bases on the night. The "˜Frogs hopped back into the game in the third. Center-fielder Nick Stein doubled to lead off the inning and subsequently scored on a Joel Klock single. Klock advanced to second on a Lakeshore error. After Brian Celsi and Justin Seager both grounded out to the shortstop, Klock scored from third on an error. Green Bay took the lead in the forth. The speedy Taylor Johnson led off the inning with an opposite field double. He then took third base on a wild pitch and then took home on another wild pitch. That would be all the scoring the "˜Frogs would do for the night. Lakeshore rallied to tie the game at 3-3 on a Forrest Chadwick double in the 6th. After two Matt Roberts walks in the 8th, Lakeshore took regained the lead for on a Scott Wilcox sacrifice fly. Matt Roberts took the loss for Green Bay. He is now 0-1 on the 2012 campaign. Nick Soldano went 7 1/3 and allowed three runs, he earned the win for Lakeshore. He is 1-0 on the season. The Bullfrogs are next in action tomorrow in Wausau against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
