Maine Celtics Set to Open 2021-22 Season Friday Night at College Park

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Celtics, presented by Unum, announced today their opening night roster in advance of the start of the NBA G League season.
Boston Celtics Two-Way Players Sam Hauser and Brodric Thomas lead an impressive roster into Friday's season opener at College Park. The Maine Celtics' opening night roster includes eight players with NBA experience.
Point guard Ryan Arcidiacono joins Maine with four years of tenure in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls. Center Luke Kornet suited up for 18 games in Boston last season and has 133 NBA games on his resume. Deng Adel, Chris Clemons, Juwan Morgan, Theo Pinson and Kenny Wooten, Jr. all have NBA experience as former Two-Way Players.
The roster also includes Returning Player Jaysean Paige, who is back in Maine for a second season. Rookies Quade Green and Eric Demers round out the roster. Demers, taken in the Second Round (49th overall) of the 2021 NBA G League Draft, is an Acushnet, Mass. native. Demers makes the Maine Celtics after a successful career at NCAA Div. III Gordon College, averaging 32.3 points per game in his senior season.
To reach the maximum roster of 12 players, Maine waived Wayne Blackshear and Cullen Russo.
