Main Camp Schedule Set for June 17-20

The schedule is set for the Des Moines Buccaneers 2023 Main Camp, held at the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex in West Des Moines from June 17-20.
Bucs Main Camp is open to the public, free of charge, and will allow fans to get their first glimpse of the future Buccaneers roster.
The main camp rosters include returning players and the team's draft picks, along with invited free agent players. Note: some returners and picks may not be in attendance pending availability/travel etc.
Camp begins on Saturday, June 17 with registration from 2:30pm - 4:00 pm in the Main Concourse, followed by a Players and Parents only meeting in the Main Rink.
Players will be divided into six rosters of teams and will play a total of four games before the first round of cuts. Teams are assigned both a color and a name, with the name representing distinguished alumni of the Des Moines Buccaneers program: Stanley Cup Champions Alex Chiasson (Bucs 2008-09), Trevor Lewis (Bucs 2004-06), and Erik Cole (Bucs 1996-97); along with Kyle Okposo (Bucs 2005-06), Jeff Petry (Bucs 2005-07) and Scott Clemmensen (Bucs 1995-97).

Doors open for fans at 4:30pm on Saturday with the first game at 5:00pm. Game 2 is at 6:30pm and Game 3 at 8:00pm. On Sunday, June 18. Games begin at 9:00am and continue at 10:30am and 12:00pm before a break until the next set of games, at 4:00pm, 5:30pm and 7:00pm. The final games before the first cut will take place on Monday, June 19 at 9:00am, 10:30am and 12:00pm, with the first round of cuts to follow.
After the first cuts, All-Star Game rosters will be posted and players will be re-rostered into teams, with two games to be played at 5:00pm and 6:45pm. The second round of cuts will be following these games, with the Final All-Star Game Rosters posted at 8:30pm.
On Tuesday morning, June 20, the final All-Star Game (Red vs. White) will be played at 9:00am with final cuts and player meetings to follow.
After main camp has concluded, Futures Camp will take place, beginning June 22-25 at the RecPlex. A schedule will be posted at a later date.
