Herd Prepares to Host 2023 Tryout Camp

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Stampede Hockey Club has announced the schedule for the team's 2023 Tryout Camp. Camp is set to be held June 15 through 18 at the Scheels IcePlex in Sioux Falls, S.D. This four-day event includes 19 games (16 regular, 2 All-Star, and 1 Final All-Star) concluding with the announcement of the 2023-24 Stampede roster.
Day one of camp includes four games with the first, Team Sillinger versus Team Swayman, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The last game of the evening is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. with Team Goligoski taking on Team O'Connor.
Day two begins bright and early for the potential Stampede players with the first game beginning at 8:00 a.m. (Sillinger versus Lindgren). Games on day two will be spread throughout the day with the final matchup scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. puck drop (Goligoski versus Redmond).
Saturday and Sunday are set to be big days for Stampede prospects, staff, and fans as roster cuts are scheduled to be made both days. Regular games begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and go until 12:30 p.m. before the first round of All-Stars are announced. The first All-Star game begins at 4:00 p.m. with Team Oshie facing off against Team Prosser. After the second All-Star game, Team Blue and Team Gold All-Stars will be announced at 7:15 p.m.
Rounding out the weekend, Sunday hosts just one game at 10:00 a.m. Teams Blue and Gold will face off in the final game prior to the 2023-24 team being announced. This announcement is set for 11:45 a.m., prior to the first team meeting.
