Magic Set Franchise Record for Three-Pointers Made in Victory over Oklahoma City Blue
December 8, 2023 - NBA G League (G League)
Osceola Magic News Release
The Osceola Magic set a franchise-record 25 three-point shots made, as they defeated the Oklahoma City Blue at the Paycom Center, 135-114, Friday afternoon in Oklahoma City.
The Magic broke the previous scoring record of 23 three-point shots made, set on March 8, 2021 vs the Erie Bayhawks.
Trevelin Queen notched a game-high 31 points for Osceola, while Mac McClung added a double-double tallying 21 points and 10 assists. The Magic had eight players score in double figures. Keyontae Johnson led Oklahoma City with 28 points and eight rebounds.
"It's a team effort, we all contributed to this win," Queen said. "Our team is great at getting everyone involved. We stuck to the game plan and stayed disciplined, it's great to come out on top."
"It's our style to knock down threes, we're a fast-paced run-and-gun team," McClung stated. "My teammates were knocking down the right shots early. We don't want to be a team that has to come back from large leads, it's better to be a team that is in control."
Osceola's bench played a pivotal role in the victory, outscoring Oklahoma City's bench 40-26. The Magic shot 46.3% from beyond the arc to cap off a successful lone-game road trip.
The Osceola Magic (7-4), NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will host the Birmingham Squadron, on Wednesday, December 13 at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee at 10:30 AM for their School Days Game presented by Jostens. For ticket information, please call 407-447-2140 or log onto OsceolaMagic.com. The game will also be televised on Bally Sports Florida.
