
Hustle Fall 101-97 to Legends

Memphis Hustle News Release
The Memphis Hustle (4-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, were defeated by the Texas Legends (4-7) 101-97 Thursday at Landers Center.
Kenneth Lofton Jr. tallied 25 points and 14 rebounds while on assignment from the Grizzlies. David Johnson added 15 points off the bench. Two-way transfer GG Jackson II contributed 13 points. Jacob Gilyard scored 10 points, five assists and five steals on a two-way transfer from the Grizzlies. Jason Preston dished out eight assists off the bench.
Justin Jackson led the Legends with 21 points and seven rebounds. Taze Moore added 19 points off the Texas bench. Jordan Walker contributed 15 points. Dexter Dennis finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Josh Nzeakor scored nine points and 10 rebounds.
The game featured 15 lead changes and seven ties before the Legends finished the third quarter on an 11-1 run to take a double-digit lead. The Hustle clawed back to make it a three-point game in the final seconds, but Jackson split a pair of free throws to clinch the game for Texas.
The Hustle outscored the Legends 26-13 on the fast break. Memphis scored 24 points off turnovers. Texas outrebounded Memphis 47-40.
The Hustle travel to Birmingham to take on the Squadron on Monday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. CT in their final road game of the Showcase Cup.
